Some of the documents received from the BL via the FileOpen SED service
contain colour images which can be viewed on screen. (mainly the
articles supplied directly from the BL electronic store)
We have recently experienced problems printing these - we have got
networked colour printers but despite setting the printer driver
settings to colour they only print in greyscale.
A local colour inkjet attached to the same PC does print the same
article in colour, so it appears to be an issue regarding fileopen with
either the type of colour printers we have or network printers in
general.
Has anyone else experienced this problem - I have had several queries
from our users about this in the last couple of weeks. They have tried
to print it twice, got a greyscale printout twice then they have reached
the fileopen print limit so complain to me. In several cases the colour
image is essential to understanding the article as they are microscope
slides which are impossible to interpret in greyscale.
Many thanks,
Jeremy Evans
