Improvements have been made to the following key areas:
Appearance, Navigation, Ease of use, Consistency
The general underlying functionality is unchanged and you should find the site intuitive to use.
All the URLs associated with CJO remain the same. You will not need to modify your links.
To see the new site for yourself please go to:

There are also new developments, for example:
Individual journal homepages
Current content and archives are positioned more prominently on the page. Subscription prices are more clearly labeled and easier to access.
Comments on FirstView articles
It is now possible to post comments on FirstView articles, which are published online ahead of print. Existing functionality enabling comments to be posted on published articles has been improved.

Release and design notes
CJO is updated with three releases of new functionality per year, all informed by consultations within the academic and library communities. The launch of the new design forms just one of those releases in 2010 and further improvements will be implemented in the next CJO release scheduled for December.
We are also able to launch specific improvements between releases, for example we are aiming to introduce faceted searching across CJO and Cambridge Books Online as soon as possible.
Our developers will continue to refine the appearance of the site and some users may notice that further design improvements are made.
Kind regards,
Tristan Collier

P.P.S. We're Going Mobile
CJOmobile (CJOm), will be launching soon after the redesigned CJO.
● CJOm will be optimised for smart phones and other small mobile devices
● Mobile devices will be detected and automatically directed to CJOmobile
● If CJOm users sign up for content alerts, or save searches or articles, these will be available on the main CJO and vice versa
● In summary CJOm will offer increased speed and convenience for mobile users
