Hello
Just to let you know a bit of an odd thing which I reported to NHS Evidence, which may happen to some of you. We have print holdings of Surgery ISSN 0263-9319, which is what shows up on our Journals A-Z list. However, in HDAS results it states that we have print holdings for articles from Surgery ISSN 0039-6060, as I discovered when a confused doctor was trying to locate an article in the library.
NHS Evidence replied that this is done intentionally:
'If two journals have exactly the same title, a match will be made. The reason for this is that the database sometimes has discrepancies for some journals. OCLC do the above matching to prevent false negatives, allowing the user the opportunity to locate the journal they are trying to find. And so unfortunately there is nothing we can do to resolve this as it is normal behaviour for the Link Resolver.'
Regards
Catherine
