Taking charge: evidence for self care in the UK
Tuesday 21 September 2010, 10am-4pm
Copthorne Hotel, Birmingham
This free to attend learning event will provide an opportunity for participants to share and learn about new research on self care alongside contributions from health and social care professionals, carers and service users. The event will seek to draw on evidence to identify effective strategies for self care and will consider the implications for managing the demand for acute care services, reconfiguring services, and generating efficiency savings in both health and social care. SDO research findings on self management support among older adults and self care support for children with long term conditions will be examined.
