Introduction to Art & Design Reference Resources. Monday 6th December 2010
This popular event is aimed at anyone new to the world of art and design librarianship and those wishing to update their skills in enquiry work. It will be held in the prestigious surroundings of the National Art Library within London's spectacular V&A Museum. Presentations from leading art and design librarians will provide a thorough introduction to specialist reference resources and approaches to effective enquiry work in a variety of different library contexts. This year's workshop will have a particular focus on new developments in this area.

Enquiry work in an art and design museum: Kirsten Pairpoint, National Art Library
Enquiry work in an academic library: Liz Lawes, University College London
The future of enquiries: Diane MaCourt, University for the Creative Arts at Epsom
The day will also include a significant practical element, allowing delegates to put into practice the knowledge and skills they have gained on the day. The deadline for booking is Monday 22nd November but early booking is advisable as places fill up rapidly for this invaluable training and networking event.
