Applications are invited for a Statistical Geneticist/Genetic Epidemiologist to work within a research group at the Centre for Genetic Epidemiology, based at Strangeways Research Laboratory. The team is funded by Cancer Research UK and will carry out research on the genetics of common cancers and large scale analyses as part of international collaborations. The successful applicant will be involved in the analysis of genetic association, epidemiological and family based studies.
Applicants should have a degree in statistics or a related scientific discipline, with some experience in the use of medical databases and/or statistical analyses. Experience in genetic analysis would be a strong advantage. The appointment will be at either the Research Assistant or Associate grade (depending on qualifications and experience).
