This is a good illustration of what I was trying to say before.
We're talking about people who have PhD's.
They are entrusted with serious research and teaching agendas.
Our field is complex and technical.
But these same people are allowed to say "it's just too hard to look
at this new software" or "my emails are buried and I can't find them".
Am I the only person who sees an irony here?
And by the way, I'm not saying there's anything wrong with wanting
these emails in digest form.
But as our presumably buried subscription message tells us:
"If you wish to receive daily compilations of postings to this list, and
not receive messages individually, send the following command in the
following format to [log in to unmask] (leaving the subject line
blank):
SET VAR-L DIGEST"
