Hi
I have heard that in the Netherlands/Holland there is a policy with
regard to children with physical impairments that children can only
attend school if they have speech. Children with physical impairment
who are cognitively able and communicate through mediums other than
speech are I have been told not able to attend school and attend day
care where they have access to care, therapies and other support but
not formal education.
I would like to know (a) if what I have been told is correct and (b)of
any written evidence of this policy in for example statutes or
academic writing.
Many thanks for any light you can throw on this question.
Kind regards
