Head of Conservation - Birmingham Libraries and Archives
£31,754 - £38,961

You will lead and manage the Libraries and Archives conservation team in
Birmingham at a time of exciting change. You will play a major role in
preparing our designated library and archive collections, including one of
the 9 National Collections of Photography, for the move to the new Library
of Birmingham, due to open in 2013. In addition you will be able to play a
key part in planning the Archives and Heritage facilities in the new
library and the services to be delivered from them. You will have
substantial experience of conserving and preserving library and/or archive
collections and be a qualified and accredited conservator. With experience
of managing large conservation projects and staff teams you will be able to
demonstrate initiative and the ability to negotiate and influence staff at
all levels.
