I came across a blog post on "Directory of Universities embracing Social
Media" on the <uwebd> forum at
http://cuwebd.ning.com/forum/topics/directory-of-universities
This links to a directory about UK Universities:
http://www.4icu.org/gb/
Looking at the entry for Bath at
http://www.4icu.org/reviews/4764.htm
you can see that they are looking to compile links to entries for:
Facebook
Linkedin
Twitter
Flickr
Youtube
iTunes U
Open Course Ware ???
Wikipedia
I don't know if there are existing directories providing information of UK
HEI usage of such services - but if not is it worth using this service.
Information about 4 International Colleges & Universities is available at:
http://www.4icu.org/menu/about.htm

PS Apparently the ranking for the Unis at
http://www.4icu.org/gb/
is based on Google, Yahoo! and Alexa data. So the order may be indicative
of the effectiveness of the University Web team, rather than teaching &
learning or research kudos. However As Cambridge University is first I
think that Helan Sargan probably had an unfair advantage :-)
