Hi Dipti,
> I am trying to calculate the Gray Matter density. I successfully obtained the gray matter volume from the image. Could anyone tell me how can i obtain the gray matte density from the gray matter volume. Is there any code for the same.
Conceptually, gray matter volume is "one step further" than gray matter
density as you first generate density and then convert it to volume by
modulating it with the determinant of the Jacobian matrix stemming from
the spatial normalization procedure. In order to "go back", you would
have to undo this modulation, which may be a bit tedious. It is much
easier to write out unmodulated images instead and calculate gray matter
density from that. If you already segmented the images, you can use
Christian's toolbox for this (write out "already estimated segmentation").
Hope this helps,
Marko
