Further news relating to the 1910 Centenary Conference:
1. Postgraduate bursaries
We are delighted to be able to offer five bursaries to postgraduate speakers at the conference, to cover costs. Information about these bursaries and instructions for the application process can be found here: http://www.gla.ac.uk/departments/snms/1910centenaryconference/abespostgraduatebursary/#d.en.168332
2. Advertising Opportunities
There will be stalls and flyers from various academic publishers at the conference. We are also opening up opportunities for delegates to advertise relevant events and activities. If you would like to include a leaflet in the conference pack (single sheet, A4 or A5) advertising upcoming conferences, calls for papers, studentships, etc., please contact Elizabeth Anderson ([log in to unmask]). There will be a reduced fee for SNoMS / BAMS members of £15 and the deadline for supplying material will be 30 November 2010.
3. Conference Blog
As part of the activities associated with the conference, a 1910 Centenary Conference Blog has been created. A dedicated team of bloggers will be adding posts to this site during the conference itself, reporting on events and papers as they happen. In the run up to the conference, however, we’re planning a series of posts about historical and cultural events associated with 1910. We would welcome contributions and suggestions for posts – a good opportunity to showcase research to be discussed at the conference and to engage with the wider community online. Contact us at [log in to unmask] for further information / to contribute.
We look forward to seeing you in December.
Matthew & Bryony.
