We'd like to invite you and your colleagues to attend our one-day Public Sector Social Media Forum, which is being held in Manchester on 26 November.
Taking into account the current squeeze on training budgets, we have 50 places available at a cost of £100.00 + VAT per delegate, which will be offered on a first-come, first-serve basis. Full details about the forum and booking information can be viewed here: http://www.i-b-e.co.uk/Social-Media-2010
The day will focus on social media uses both inside and outside the enterprise, and will examine in some detail legal issues, encouraging take-up both internally and by customers / citizens / partners, as well as strategies to enable employees to work more openly and more accountably.
The forum will include several practical examples of public sector social media campaigns – from planning and conception to analysis and review of success. Presentations are intended to be a springboard for discussion and delegates will be seated in round tables of 8 so they have the opportunity to discuss what works and what doesn't, and why. We expect it to be a fast-paced, fairly informal and lively event with audience numbers of around 100-120 from a cross-section of public sector organisations.
Confirmed speakers include:
- Carl Whistlecraft, Assistant Head of Policy & Governance, Kirklees Metropolitan Council (Chair)
- Cerys Hearsey, Metataxis (Organisational Glasnost - what comes after the 2.0 revolution?)
- Dai Davis, Partner, Brooke North LLP (Cloud computing and social media: an overview of the legal risks and security issues)
- Tony Riches, Chief Social Projects & Development Officer, Cardiff County Council (Case study: Inclusion Cardiff)
- Karen Kelly, Web Co-ordinator, Fife Council (Case studies: an overview of 3 recent social media pilots and the outcomes so far)
- John McKenzie, Web Manager, Central Scotland Police (Case study: How Central Scotland Police is using Twitter)
- Tim Lloyd, Deputy Head, E-Comms and Publishing, Department of Health (Case study: Department of Health and NHS)
Please note we only have 50 places available at a rate of £100 + VAT per delegate (usual price is £195.00 + VAT). If you or colleagues would like to attend, please book as soon as possible by following the link: http://www.i-b-e.co.uk/node/100.
I hope to see you there.
Kind regards
Lindsey
