Festivals and Outreach Manager (Maternity cover - limit of tenure: 9 months)
Salary: £32,620
We are looking for an experienced professional to manage a very busy
programme of outreach and public engagement events. We seek to appoint a
Festivals and Outreach Manager with staff, budget and event management
experience.
This is an opportunity to work as part of a committed Community Affairs team
within the Office of External Affairs and Communications, supporting public
engagement activity across the University of Cambridge. Working on the
Cambridge Science Festival and the Cambridge Festival of Ideas among other
events, the post-holder will need the ability to liaise with academic staff
and students to programme events which convey the University's research in
all subjects to public audiences.
The post involves a significant amount of partnership working with sponsors,
departments, museums and community partners, requiring relationship
management skills. Fundraising experience is highly desirable.
You must be able to demonstrate excellent event logistics, marketing
management and communications skills.
The successful candidate will be required to apply for an Enhanced CRB
Disclosure.
