Hi. Think this comes down to a 'language' issue. The OH (P or A) is
not 'over riding the GP' but is giving an independent informed/expert
opinion. The employer can then choose, depending on policy, to use
that opinion as evidence of fitness for work for the occupational sick
pay scheme.
