Hello CRUMBsters
Happy dog days of summer to you all.
A few notes from us:
There's a new review of Rethinking Curating: Art After New Media
online at ArtNet:
http://www.artnet.com/magazineus/books/croak/summer-reading8-19-10.asp
If you haven't read the review on Rhizome it's very generous and
thorough
http://rhizome.org/editorial/3617
hopefully both of these will entice you to buy and read the book itself!

Also, Beryl and I have a fall of travel lined up, so here are some
notes of where we will be:
August 23-27 I am in Mexico City speaking at a seminar about art and
technology organised by the Centro Multimedia / Centro Nacional de
las Artes
http://cmm.cenart.gob.mx/seminario10/index.html
Oron Catts, Diana Domingues, Chris Chaffe and others will be there.
Send your top tips for the big city my way.
September 9 I am in Amsterdam giving a keynote talk about media art
and time at the new Temporary Stedelijk - so exciting!
There isn't much information online yet (http://www.stedelijk.nl/)
but I'm sharing the panel with the formidable Marina Grzinic as part
of their new "Theory Talks" series and it starts at 730pm.
We'll both be over the west side of the UK the following week for the
opening of the exhibition of the work of Rafael Lozano Hemmer at the
Manchester Art Gallery and then the Liverpool Biennial, so if you're
there say hi. And we'll be back to Manchester again on October 4th
for a panel we're co-chairing with partners from FACT, folly and the
Harris Museum at the Museums Association Conference. Details
forthcoming.
Those going to ISEA, Ars Electronica, and 01SJ Biennial (all of which
I am very gutted to be missing) please do post your reports here.
til soon,
Sarah
