2-day Focus Group Workshop
9-10th September, 2010, University of Dundee,
facilitated by Prof Rosaline Barbour (author of Doing Focus Groups,
Sage, 2008)
Day 1 -Designing Focus Group Studies & Generating Data
Day 2- Analysis of Focus Group Data
The course will use a combination of oral presentations and hands-on
exercises. The virtual topic for the workshop is the challenges of
parenting (N.B. It is not necessary for participants to be parents.)
Due
to its informal and interactive format there will be opportunities to
discuss issues with your own ongoing or planned studies. Participants
will all receive a copy of Doing Focus Groups, together with resource
packs.
Fee - £255 (£155 for full-time students) includes lunches and
coffees/teas.
