With apologies for cross-posting, we are pleased to announce that the
deadline for abstracts for the special issue of this journal has been
extended to 15th September.
There is to be a special issue of the /Journal of War and Culture
Studies/ devoted to the reporting of war, guest-edited by Michael
Higgins and Angela Smith. The Journal is principally concerned with the
relationship between war and culture in the 20th century and onwards,
including Europe and the wider world.
For this special issue, we invite high quality academic papers of no
more than 6,000 words on the subject of 'Reporting War'. We hope to
gather papers from a variety of disciplines, and that deal with various
forms of conflict and media. This special issue will appear as part of
Volume 5 of this Journal in 2012. All articles will be subject to
editorial and peer review.
In the first instance, please send proposals of approximately 300 words
and in MS Word format to the guest co-editor, Dr Angela Smith, at
[log in to unmask] <mailto:[log in to unmask]>
before 15 September, 2010.
Articles will be due for initial submission in June 2011, and revised
versions of the articles will be due in December 2011
