This looks really interesting, so in parallel we need a method for examining discourses or narratives on public realm....and international public goods.
Then we would need a method to map this over time, and perhaps the best tool would be Foskett, A.C., a Subject approach to information. The five editions map arguments and logics with the addition of the role of developments in information and communication technologies.
I argued in Ms.Thatcher's Handbag Modem, and again in infopolecon about the determination of the technology, and the parsimony of the information, from 1982 onwards, or back to 1973 and Librarians for Social Change
But we don't want an academic discourse, as they are called, we are in the moment of preparing for the Earth Summit, so we have a target, but probably a long way away from this poor person's request.
And the new matter for Capability Green, is energy.
So now, how do we lis-link energy
Enough for a sunday

Subject: Survey on the impact of market discourses on public librarianship
I am a postgraduate student completing an MSc in Information and Library Studies at the University of Strathclyde. I am circulating this survey to obtain data for my dissertation. The survey examines the impact of market discourses on public librarianship.
The survey is divided into three sections. Section 1 looks at factors influencing the everyday running of public libraries. Section 2 examines how librarians define and perceive their role in the community they serve. Finally, section 3 looks at how market forces affect public libraries and explores librarians’ attitudes towards it.
The survey is anonymous. Any data collected in this survey will be kept completely confidential and will be used solely for my own research purposes. The data will be destroyed following the completion of the dissertation in November 2010.
Thanks for taking the time to complete the survey.
