Hi Sharon
I agree it is very confusing - the reason URLs point to journals is because people usually want to search or browse articles in that particular journal; not because they want to go back to the login page.
It could just be a Shibboleth glitch but yes, I agree it needs looking at by Wiley fairly urgently.

Subject: [lis-e-resources] Wiley Shibboleth login process
Hi all,
What do people think of the Wiley Shibboleth login process? From a journal or journal article link, this is what happens:
1. Off campus, user goes to a journal home page http://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/journal/10.1111/(ISSN)1365-2702 or clicks on a DOI to an article http://dx.doi.org/10.1111/j.1365-2702.2006.01357.x.
2. User clicks on Institutional Login.
3. User selects their institution.
4. They log in.
5. Once logged in, the user is returned to the Wiley login page and has to hunt for the journal or article the journal link or DOI is meant to take them directly to...
Has anyone contacted Wiley yet to suggest that this needs to be worked on asap?
Thanks,
Sharon
