THE AUSTRALASIAN CENTRE FOR ITALIAN STUDIES (ACIS) SIXTH BIENNIAL
CONFERENCE will be held at
The University of Melbourne, Parkville Campus, 13-16 July 2011
Like previous ACIS Biennial conferences, the 2011 conference explores
the most recent directions taken by the multifarious and
interdisciplinary research areas within ‘Italian Studies’ (including
Italian literature, history, art history, linguistics, translation
studies, migration and border studies, cinema studies, anthropology,
sociology).
Confirmed speakers include:

– Emeritus Professor Nerida Newbigin (The University of Sydney)
– Professor Gary Radke (Syracuse Univeristy)

The committee of the 2011 ACIS Conference invites submissions of session
and/or paper proposals for the 2011 Conference.
The sessions/papers may be on any of the following areas:
Italian language teaching
Linguistics
Migration and border studies
Sociology
Anthropology
History
Literature
Business
Cinema studies
Cultural studies
Translation studies
Visual arts
Architecture
The deadline for submissions is 13 December 2010
The Committee of the 2011 ACIS Conference will consider and confirm
sessions soon after the deadline.
