Slight change of plan as only one curator expressed an interest. I have got
English Heritage to agree to store the material at Atcham to allow more time
for collection. They are moving the stuff on Thursday 19th of August. If you
could repeat your email with this information I would be grateful.
We have been told by one respondent that they have had a problem sending
messages to my email address so would you mind re-sending the original email
to all curators flagging this up and adding that there is an alternative
email that can be used if needed. This is:

Dear Curator
There are archives currently stored at Evesham relating mainly, but not
exclusively, to West Midlands counties where work was undertaken by Marches
Archaeology. Due to unforeseen and irreversible circumstances these archives
will unfortunately have to be destroyed unless they are collected before the
end of August 2010.
If curators can check their records to see if this affects them a date can
be set when the archives can be collected (They are not indexed). It is only
possible to provide the facility of collecting the archives on a single
day - it is envisaged that this will be in the week commencing 16 August
2010, confirmation of this will follow.
Please contact if you intend to come or advise on alternative disposal of
the archives if not. Contact preferably via email, address
[log in to unmask] or ring Nic Appleton-Fox on 07765588222 or
07854783775. (Service coverage for these numbers is patchy).
Do please ensure this message is passed around, it is important.
