Has any of you gone to the place and asked the local people what they call that wood now? (I am in Manchester, which is too far from Suffolk for an easy journey.)
Could the unusual name have come from some sort of mistake when filling a form when a surveyor or Ministry man asked what the wood was called? "Fiscal policy" sounds more like why the wood was planted, or why some Ministry wanted to know information about the wood.
