Dear Charlotte,
In Birmingham - as you probably know already - we're interested in the
same questions with regard to biblical quotations in Greek and Latin,
although of course we're helped by having very specific verse
numerations within the source texts, which enables us to link them to
a certain extent.
I'm also on the advisory board of the French BIBLindex (formerly
Biblia Patristica) project (www.biblindex.org), which has a much
broader remit and hopes to adopt a more automated approach to
identifying biblical quotations in early authors over the next 5 years
or so.
I don't know that we have any wisdom to share at present, but please
do add us to your list of contacts and let us know how you get on.
I know that this coming year is not possible for you, but perhaps we
will be able to lure you to Birmingham to talk about it before too long.
Best wishes,
Hugh
