By: Ross Lydall
Boris Johnson is on the verge of almost doubling the size of his central London bike hire scheme, the Standard can reveal. The Mayor is proposing to spend a further £81 million on more Boris bikes, partly for commuters arriving at mainline rail stations. About 200 bikes could be installed at Waterloo and talks with Network Rail about other stations are in the early stages.
