EUROCLIO is pleased to announce that the Second Seminar within the EUROCLIO
Initiative "Historiana.eu" has been approved by the European Union and is
registered in the European Union´s Comenius and Grundtvig Catalogue under the course reference number: NL-2011-220-001! The event will take place on
January 20-23 2011 in Istanbul, Turkey.
Historiana is an initiative of EUROCLIO, the European Association of History Educators in which an online, interactive, multimedia tool will be developed as an alternative to a European textbook.
Since January 2010, a team of editors and contributors from more than 15
countries are working together to develop the first materials focused on the theme "People on the Move" which will be online during the Seminar.
The material will be focused on common themes in European History and
Heritage:
People on the Move
Rights and Responsibilities
Life and Leisure
Work and Technology
Conflict and Cooperation
Ideas and Ideologies
Colleagues from countries participating in the Lifelong Learning
Programme can apply for a Comenius/Grundtvig Grant at their National Agency to participate in the course and receive training on the development and implementation of multiperspective and inclusive material on the common theme 'People on the Move'.
