'The HPA have said they don't agree with the PEF approach. Though as the HPA has been shown the door, I'm not sure where their recently updated HAP guidance on BaP stands....' exactly what I was thinking
The percentage produce is very interesting - especially on lead.. residential 100% produce would be about 200mg/kg?
Regarding inhalation pathways for BaP - I personally think this is where we are going wrong (flame retardant suite already put on in advance of replies).
the (not so) scientific evidence:
1) I used to play with mud all the time as a kid...(still do according to my daughter) even if I got really dirty there is no way my mum would let me in the house to even allow the mud to dry on the door mat and be inhaled....
2) How often does this country turn into a dust bowl and fling enough solid via inhalation?
If we need to spend more money researching (oops the governments just stopped spending money..) dust inhalation is where we should do some more modelling? Not more tox data?
