Thanks for reminding me of that. I've put in your patch (which, to inform
other people, makes the y axis ticks a bit wider so it takes an extra
decimal place before it starts widening the tick space further). But I've
also added an option in Project --> Preferences --> User Options near the
bottom, called "Y axis decimals expand". If it is True (the default) then
you will get the widening when you need more decimal places, but if it is
False then you will not (so no jiggling under any circumstance). Because
of the way I had to implement this (it's not in the data model proper)
it's set up so that you have to save and reopen the project before any
change takes effect in existing windows. (But I imagine you won't want to
change this setting very often.)
