Folks might be interested in the new e-journal, “Journal for Artistic Research”:

It makes me think again about what sort of journal we as a community might want. I find myself leaning towards an electronic format. I think that would allow for a richer and more interesting format as well as multi-media. I know that I have pretty much stopped getting a physical copy of any journal (other than Aesthesis). Instead I subscribe to an email version of the table of contents and download e-copies of articles I am interested in. This still leaves a lot of questions about what we want, so I’ve been thinking about what I want in a journal. I think I want :
- interesting and rigorous scholarly work
- rich descriptions of actual arts and business activities
- a space for conversations about topics of interest
- reviews of new work in the field (scholarly or artistic)
- art pieces
What do you want in a journal?
Cheers,
Steve
