The Media Archive for Central England has a vacancy for a full time cataloguer to work on their Heritage Lottery Funded Project, Full Circle.
MACE is the regional public moving image archive service for the East and West Midlands, currently based at the University of Leicester. We are a small organisation working closely together to develop and deliver a first class, professional, engaged and responsive moving image archive service to the regions and people we serve.
We are now seeking to make the following appointment to work on Full Circle, a Heritage Lottery funded project.
Project Cataloguer c.£20,000p.a. (Full Time Fixed term to March 2013)
The post will be responsible for MACE’s catalogues, for maintaining standards, for viewing, researching and undertaking descriptive cataloguing of moving image materials in the archive as part of the Full Circle project.
The post will also devise and deliver workshops to train community volunteers in the practice of descriptive cataloguing and advise partner organisations on developing their own catalogues and will support those volunteers through the life of the project.
