Call for Participation
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Dear All!
You have been contacted because of your knowledge and expertise to
participate in a ‘Question Relay’ about Digital Death.(ME:
digitaldeath.eu/<http://www.digitaldeath.eu/>
)
Digital Death is defined as the death of a living being and the way it
affects the digital world or the death of a digital object and the way it
affects a living being.
So what is a ‘Question Relay?’
Basically, one person (in this case Stacey) starts the relay by simply
asking a question. This question is then passed on to the most relevant
person, who answers it. Then this person has their chance to pose a
question. This question is then passed on and the cycle continues.
What kind of Questions?
The question may be asked from a range of disciplines and frameworks, they
may be academic, economic, personal, professional or simply questions of
curiosity about the wide area of ‘death and the digital.’
Making Believe: Exhibition.
The ‘Question Relay’ will displayed as a part of the London Design Festival
(18th - 26th Sept) which receives around 300,000 visitors per year and
comprises a showcase of Creative London. The piece will take the form
of an immersive sound installation, allowing visitors the opportunity to
‘walk into’ a conversation about Digital Death, thus opening up the topic
to the general public.

Being Involved.
I REALISE EVERYONE IS VERY BUSY BUT WOULD VERY MUCH APPRECIATE YOUR
PARTICIPATION, I DO NOT BELIEVE IT WOULD TAKE UP MUCH OF YOUR TIME. I WOULD
NEED YOU TO THINK OF A QUESTION YOU WOULD LIKE TO POSE AND SEND IT TO ME (
[log in to unmask]) AS WELL AS A TIME WHERE YOU WOULD BE AVAILABLE
FOR A SHORT SKYPE INTERVIEW RECORDING 5 /10 MINS OVER THE NEXT TWO WEEKS
(23RD AUGUST – 5TH SEPTEMBER.)
Look forward to hearing from you
- the relay will only work with your help!
This project is designed by Stacey Pitsillides, on the members of the
