With the reorganization of NAACSOS to create CSSS and inconsistency in mailing lists, it has come to our attention that some have received our call for papers late or not at all. Therefore, we have extended the deadline for abstract submission to August 1, 2010.
This includes our call for graduate students wishing to be considered for the CSSS Graduate Student Research Award. Please forward this to interested colleagues.

Call for Papers
All fields of social and organizational inquiry are encouraged, including disciplinary, interdisciplinary, and multidisciplinary work. Integrative research in computational social and organizational sciences is particularly encouraged. Submit your abstract (300 words maximum) through EasyChair <http://www.easychair.org/conferences/?conf=2010csss>. Graduate Student Research Award
The CSSS 2010 planning committee is pleased to announce that at this year's conference, the work of two student-led papers will be selected for special recognition based on their potential to advance computational social science. Awards will be given for the best working models or completed ABM-based investigations (e.g., docking experiments). The following criteria must be met for award consideration:
* A student must be the first or only author,
* The work should reflect, primarily, the student's efforts,
* Working models can be presented at the conference, or experimental work is demonstrably relevant to the goals of CSSS, and
* The conference submission is sufficiently detailed to allow adequate committee evaluation.
Awardees will present their work on Saturday November 6, at the conference luncheon. Presentations will consist of a 20-minute talk (and demonstration if applicable) followed by 10 minutes for questions. Each award winner will receive a certificate signifying this honor plus $100.00.
If your paper meets these criteria and you would like to be considered for this graduate student award, please contact:
