Thanks, Doug, Patrick, it's not that bad, it's just bloody awful.
unfortunately it's too long a tale to relate here, but this unremarkable
place has become a kind of national centre for talentless poets who write
with all the sensitivity to language of a management newsletter, it's a kind
of Invasion of the Stanza Snatchers (film - har har) and a few of us are
involved in a protracted war with some of them which isn't just a literary
spat because some of the b*st*rds have gained control of the bank accounts
of our not too brilliant but long-standing poetry group which, for all its
deficiencies, has been a kind of aperture in the cell walls.
