A PhD position in Statistics is offered at the School of Computing and Mathematical Sciences of the University of Greenwich, London.
The title of the project: Stochastic Models and their Application to Hydrology
The supervisors of the project will be Dr Nadarajah Ramesh and Professor Vitaly Strusevich.
A bursary that covers the tuition fee and includes a tax-free maintenance grant of £8750 in the first year is provided.
The grant may be extended, subject to progress and the approval of the University, in the following two subsequent years with a step increase in the amount.
Candidates are expected to have a good degree (BSc/MSc) in Mathematics or Statistics, or a foreign equivalent, with strong theoretical background and good programming skills. Experience of Matlab, Splus, R and other software environment is considered desirable.
