Hello
I've had a very unique query today. A customer submitted a complaint about being 'ignored' by a Sales Associate which was investigated. The Sales Assosciate subsequently reveals to her manager that she is hard of hearing and has asked her manager if she can have some kind of a sign etched onto her name badge to make it clear that she is hard of hearing.
In our business, if you speak a foreign language you would have that country's flag on your name badge. I'm not sure about a disability being highlighted in this way & Im concerned that if was allowed, how it might open up a huge can of worms. I'm really stuck as to what I can advise from an OHA point of view.
I would be grateful for your comments.
Priscilla
