Dear Sharon
Sounds like a professional boundary violation on her part but she may have
additional underlying pathology. Whatever, it appears to have reached a
level which would be considered professionally untenable and unhealthy for
both parties. I suggest that you escalate it to your Line Manager ASAP if
you have not already done so/ask to be relieved from this case/transfer
the case; ensure your Manager/colleague refers the employee to her
clinical medical practitioners(GP)because of her possible threats of
'Don't know what I will do' which could be interpreted as self harm but
you really must get some help with this for both parties; and document all
events.
And thanks for all your great input on this forum.
All best regards
Catherine
