This is to announce the third in a series of four workshops on
methodological and conceptual issues in epidemiology, aimed at
philosophers of science, epidemiologists, statisticians, and anyone
else with a relevant interest.
Workshop 3, "Explanation and Intervention", is on Tuesday 21
September, 10.30-17.30. (Note that this date has changed.) The
speakers are Mike Joffe, Philip Dawid, Alexander Bird and Alfredo
Morabia, and there will be plenty of time for discussion.
These workshops are kindly funded by the PHG Foundation, and held at
the Department of HPS, Cambridge. Further details are available at
http://www.hps.cam.ac.uk/epidemiology/workshop3.html
To register, please contact Jane Lane on [log in to unmask]
- please note that although registration is free, spaces are limited,
and the previous workshop was oversubscribed.
Please feel free to circulate this message to people you think might
be interested.
Regards,
Alex Broadbent
