Dear all,
*Posted to LIS-Link and LIS-Rarebooks*
Amongst other things, I'm involved in a project at Warwick looking at how we can boost exposure/usage of the Library's Special, and sometimes hidden, Collections (mostly printed book materials). There's a good amount of literature out there to review, but I'm more interested in practice on the ground and would be grateful for answers
from within HE to two quick questions:
1. Are Special Collections at your institution a library responsibility, or under the remit of another unit/service, such as a university archive?
2. In what ways does your institution publicise and promote its Special and/or Hidden Collections?
Thank you in advance for any responses received, which I'll collate and summarise for the list.
