What I find amazing is the fact he has clearly forgotten a basic principle of critically appraising the evidence before him.
He has made a decision that ALL health library staff should be cut based on what he observes in his library.
Would he make the same decision on a new surgical technique based upon an observational study in one hospital?

We need to find him/her and show them how helpful the library staff could be if approached. Or maybe put a comment about the fact that many locum doctors seem to spend vast amounts of time lounging in the library reading the paper while getting paid vast amounts of money?
