Presumably this is the same or very similar to the last online event.
If so I can recommend it.
The previous event was very informative although I still haven't done ours as upgrading on the same server is scary as I would have no idea what to do if things went wrong and shib 1.3 stopped working.
Also I have issues with attribute releasing etc. as shib 2 is very different from shib 1.3 in this respect.
I haven't yet got my shib 2 test server to release any real data even with the testing tools provided.
I currently use a script (provided by someone in this group, thank you) on shib 1.3 which creates attributes based on AD group membership.

Are you planning to migrate?
If you are responsible for an IdP which is still using Shibboleth 1.3 software, you should by now have made your plans to move to Shibboleth 2.
Since 30th of June 2010, the Shibboleth 1.3 software is no longer supported. This online event is a repeat of the previous briefing held on the 24th June and guides technical specialists through the transition to Shibboleth 2.
Attendance is free to members of the JANET community and will take place online, on the 12th August between 12.30 and 1.30pm. The briefing will be led by Rhys Smith of Cardiff University and will include a presentation and plenty of time for your questions.
The briefing will be run in Adobe connect, in order to access the session you will require a web browser running adobe Flash 8 or later. There will be an opportunity to test the connection prior to the start of the event.
