italian-studies: Scholarly discussions in any field of Italian studies
Leslie,
I see someone mentioned Ozpetek's movie "Le fate ignoranti" ("The
Ignorant Fairies" in English, I think). Actually, two other of his
movies also center on food, "Saturno Contro" (in English "Saturn in
Opposition") and "La finestra di fronte" ("Facing Windows"). All
three have subtitles. The latter actually deals with a master pastry
chef who, during World War II, has to make a terrible choice... and
food is important in the movie...
