italian-studies: Scholarly discussions in any field of Italian studies
Dear colleagues,
This is a call for paper proposals for a panel I am organizing on 'Sexualities' at the forthcoming ACIS conference (Melbourne, July 11). See further details of the conference below.
I welcome proposals for 20 minute papers from colleagues working on any aspect of sexualities in Italian society and culture--including in the Italian diaspora. If you are interested in participating in this session, please send a 300 word abstract plus a brief cv, including relevant publications, to me, Charlotte Ross, by 15 September 2010.

The Australasian Centre for Italian Studies (ACIS) Sixth Biennial Conference will be held at
The University of Melbourne, Parkville Campus, 13 - 16 July 2011.
Like previous ACIS Biennial conferences, the 2011 conference explores the most recent directions taken by the multifarious and
interdisciplinary research areas within 'Italian Studies' (including Italian literature,
history, art history, linguistics, translation studies, migration and border studies, cinema studies,
anthropology, sociology).

The deadline for submissions is 14 October 2010
The Committee of the 2011 ACIS Conference will consider and confirm sessions soon after the deadline.
