Thanks to all those who attended the meeting at Chester yesterday - from
talking to people on the train home there were lots of positive
responses. However, as you'll know there are severe pressures on
everyone's budgets at the moment and we are looking at ways of reducing
the cost of the HER forum meeting by moving it to Birmingham (rather
than York) probably on 7 December. This will reduce the cost to EH
substantially and allow the meeting to happen. What we are now keen to
judge is whether there will be sufficient attendance (bearing in mind
the pressures on HER budgets) to justify the meeting.
To help with this could you please email Nick Davis
([log in to unmask]) and let him know if you are likely
to attend. This is not a commitment, just an indication.
It would be good to know this as soon as possible (this week?) so that
orders can be placed and the money ring-fenced.
We can discuss the future more at the next meeting (wherever and
whenever that is).
