I think the premise that left-sided tracts are an adequate control for
homologous right-sided tracts and vice-versa needs to be scrutinized
more carefully.
Please see Wahl et al., Neuroimage 2010; 51:531-541 for reasons why such
left-right comparisons might be suspect.
