Hi,
just to be sure, do you want to do a VBM analysis of the white matter, or do you want to do a voxel-based analysis of diffusion indices like FA?
For the former, please have a look at the archives.
For the latter, for the sake of comparison with this other study (but also if you want to look into the basal ganglia), you can always smooth slightly (fslmaths -s 1) you all_FA 4D image and do the same stats using the mean_FA_mask instead of the mean_FA_skeleton_mask.
