Dear all,
We are currently trying to convert as many videos to DVD as possible but are struggling with the commercial videos. Although replacing feature films with DVDs has been very straightforward, we are left with a lot of factual videos produced for example by the BBC, Open University, Miranda, ICA, Channel 4, Arts Council, that don't seem to have been re-issued on DVD. Does anyone have any experience of this? At present we are considering writing to the original producer of the video to see if they would grant us copyright clearance to make a copy to DVD. Has anyone else tried this or found some other way of dealing with the issue.
Any advice would be appreciated and I am happy to summarise responses back to the list.
Regards
Jane
