This position is to strengthen Statistics/Biostatistics in the School of Mathematics. You should be a researcher in any area of Statistics/Biostatistics with particular interests in medical and/or biological sciences. You will strengthen existing research in the group and create new links within the School and other Schools, institutions or disciplines.
Your primary duties will lie in teaching, research, and administration. In particular, you should be able to teach statistics/biostatistics courses in undergraduate and postgraduate levels, supervise undergraduate projects and postgraduate dissertations and theses, undertake original high impact research that wins international recognition, and have the potential to apply successfully for research grants.
The position is available from 1st September 2010, and is tenable for a period of one year.
Salary: £32,620 - £35,646 p.a.
