Which, as Sam pointed out, it largely failed to
address. The Spiritualist movement in the US is
at the root of many non-Gardnerian strains of
witchcraft, for example ( and arguably contributed
a great deal to the Gardnerian instantiation, cf.
the 'Summerland', &tc. ).
