Many Thanks for all of this Information, just to let you know although much of it is based upon the ascent, i am interested in the notion of the descent especially of the Grigori from mount Hermon (Where the angels form a pact, more a noted characteristic of demons) in what i am seeing as the descent of spirit into matter much as the angels copulation with women could act as a metaphor for (within a dubious misogynistic mythological construct.)
The idea of coming down or going down from the climb up is what interests me, it is characteristic for me of what is taken away from the experience, the reflection after the fact so to speak. Much of the literature here is written from this view point, having descended after an ascension so it is very useful in this respect.
What comes through elevation via knowledge, climbing or spiritual pursuits when faced with having feet firmly placed on the ground.
Many thanks for all these resources.
