3-year full-time PhD Studentship in Music
Goldsmiths, University of London - Department of Music
The Department of Music at Goldsmiths is delighted to offer one studentship
for doctoral research, for full-time studies only, commencing in October
2010 or January 2011 at the latest.
Fees will be waived, and the studentship also carries an annual stipend of
£13,590 for three years. Students will be expected to complete their
thesis within this timescale, and the award holder will also undertake a
small amount of teaching in the Department, as part of the conditions of
the award. The award must support a research project that complements and
contributes to an established research strength in the Department. Please

Your application should be made using the standard College application
form. Your application should include a statement of up to 2,000 words
explaining your intended research project, and how you see it fitting into
the Department's research profile. You should submit your application to
the College in the normal fashion (http://www.goldsmiths.ac.uk/pg/apply/),
however you are strongly advised also to send a copy to Kim Mulhall
([log in to unmask]), the Senior Departmental Administrator.
Applications must be received by 9 August and must be clearly marked 'Music
PhD studentship 2010'.
Interviews will be held during the week commencing 23 August, and the
successful applicant will be informed by 30 August.
